The Louisiana National Guard Foundation exists to serve local military and their families as well as the general public. The Foundation’s work supports the federal missions of the Louisiana National Guard (LANG) to provide trained and ready soldiers, airmen, and units for deployment in support of national military objectives.
On the state level, Louisiana National Guard servicemen ensure domestic tranquility by saving lives and property and defending Louisiana. This includes being on the ground during recovery after natural disasters. LANG’s mission within local communities is to enhance community relationships and provide mutually beneficial support.
Billeting is available to military personnel and their families at Jackson Barracks, Camp Minden, and Camp Beauregard.
The Foundation supports two museums—the Jackson Barracks Military Museum and the Louisiana Maneuvers and Military Museum. Both are free and open to the public.
Law schools, law firms, and the entertainment industry can use the courtroom at Jackson Barracks for jury vetting, courtroom scenes, and mock trials.
The film industry can use Louisiana National Guard properties for movies, documentaries, TV shows, and network programming.
